Training Programs - Advanced Surveillance Detection
History has shown that planned attacks on individuals and facilities are often preceded by surveillance, followed by penetration testing and attack rehearsals. Terrorists attempt to identify the area of greatest vulnerability and suitability of methods for an attack. Hostile surveillance can range from a few hours to years in advance depending on the target profile and the goals of the criminal/terrorist element. This was the case with the bombings of the American Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania and numerous kidnappings like the Sydney Reso, Exxon executive, abduction. However, they invariably make errors and an effective surveillance detection program can identify and exploit these mistakes.
Surveillance Detection is a critical yet often overlooked aspect of facility security and personnel/executive protection. Many efforts to prevent an attack already in process can be too late. Detecting hostile surveillance early and intervening prior to any incident is paramount. Failure to detect this surveillance allows the criminal element about an 85% success rate in accomplishing their objectives.
Advanced Surveillance Detection is our highly-interactive 5-day comprehensive program. It is HANDS-ON and designed for critical infrastructure personnel, historic landmark and museum management, hotel and facility security, investigators, law enforcement, corporate operations managers, executive protection agents, public works, firefighters, emergency management and any individual who is concerned with the recognition of hostile surveillance and the prevention of criminal incidents.
physically and psychologically challenging.
Attendance at this program will create an understanding of how the criminal element utilizes open source pre-operational intelligence and surveillance techniques to assess and select “soft” targets. Distinguishing the ordinary from the extraordinary by recognizing the indicators of clandestine activity being committed during normal operations. Analyzing the information collected, target “Hardening” your site or residence and ultimately disrupting an attack prior to the terrorists entering their operational phase.
