Certification and Accreditation
All Enterprising Securities antiterrorism, executive protection, corporate security and risk management programs are conducted to the highest industry standards. The high quality and legitimacy of our unique programs meet and exceed nationally and internationally recognized standards set forth by both government and corporate governing bodies. This is a significant benefit for our customers.
Enterprising Securities utilizes many widely accepted models of training evaluation from a variety of pioneering educators. We conduct internal and external evaluations from our cadre of faculty throughout the year. All students have the opportunity to participate in the evaluation process within their selected program by providing input, sharing their thoughts and comments. Additionally, we ask our clients to provide valuable feedback about their experiences prior, during and after a program has been completed.
What is a Certification?
A certification is an accurate statement as to the truth that one has fulfilled the requirements of our established criteria. It is a testament to the fact that a standard has been met by a student.
What is Accreditation?
Professional accreditation is a process by which an individual in a particular profession is certified to have an advanced level of knowledge and competence in the security field that they are practicing. The testing of competence, a dedication to ongoing learning, a thorough knowledge in their particular specialty and receiving training at a quality educational institution are important steps to becoming a credible professional.
What is a Continuing Education Unit (C.E.U.)?
Continuing Education Units (C.E.U.s) are internationally recognized units in qualified programs which allow the student to document all non-credited work completed. They can be used as evidence to provide employers with a history of professional development activities and enhanced performance capabilities; apply for licenses or recertification, as defined by state agencies or professional organizations; or provide a basis for an employee's eligibility toward a salary increase or promotion.
College Credit
Programs offered through Enterprising Securities do not award academic or college credit, however, many qualify for professional licensure and recertification. All of our programs award Continuing Education Units. In many cases, our C.E.U.s can be used to accrue college credit to be applied to formal degrees and certificates, based on an institution’s requirements for translating life experiences into college credit.
Federal and State Law Enforcement Continuing Education
At Enterprising Securities, all of our programs are approved for law enforcement continuing education and advancement. As such, we receive student referrals from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and other training organizations. Our programs are Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certified. The P.O.S.T. accrediting system is prominent throughout most of the 50 states. For those states that maintain other training commissions and accrediting systems and are interested in receiving credits, Please contact us. We will be happy to submit our educational materials for approval by your state or federal agency.
